This smoky topaz prayer beads is composed of 99 beads in round bicone cut shape. The bead size measures 5 x 5 mm, 45 cm in length, and weighs 14.70 grams. The Shaheed is made of silver while the Karkousha are made of tassle.
Smoky topaz is a type of macrocrystalline quartz (silicone dioxide), the branch of the quartz family that includes amethyst, citrine and rose quartz. This type of quartz made up of crystals that are large enough to be discerned by the naked eye. Its color varies from brown, to smoky gray or black. The characteristics of smoky topaz occurs when a rock crystal quartz is exposed to a natural radiation from radioactive elements over a long period of time.
